PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means to detect a set of host VMs to which guest VMs composing hot standby configuration belong, without grasping configuration of the guest VMs built on a plurality of host VMs.SOLUTION: A virtual machine system comprises a first virtual machine operating on a physical machine and a second virtual machine operating on the first virtual machine. A communication data analysis unit 106 which analyzes communication data received from the second virtual machine clarifies correspondence between a virtual server and a network segment by analyzing content of the communication data from the virtual server and clarifies whether or not communication content of each network segment is specific to a virtual server which takes redundancy configuration. A hot standby configuration analysis unit 112 aggregates information from the communication data analysis units 106 of a plurality of servers and specifies the virtual server which is in a relationship of the redundancy configuration.
