PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress elongation of traveling time of an electric vehicle when the electric vehicle reduces operation power and travels.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle control device comprises: speed detection means for detecting a speed of an electric vehicle; storage means for storing allowable maximum notch information indicating a speed and an allowable maximum notch for traveling within allowable power allowed as power of driving units on the basis of power characteristics indicating a relation between the speed and power consumed by the driving units for each of a plurality of notches; determination means for determining the allowable maximum notch corresponding to the traveling speed of the electric vehicle from the allowable maximum notch information stored on the basis of limit information when the limit information for limiting the power consumed is input; and control command output means for outputting a control command to the driving units on the basis of the allowable maximum notch determined.
