Beer flavouring from brewing by-products

A beer flavouring is prepared from yeast-contg. waste products from beer brewing by fractional distillation. Specif., the beer deposits, in a very hydrated form are fractionally distilled to extract the aromatic substances. The yeast-contg. beer by-products are in liquid form, and pref. the water is removed from these and they are added to fresh water before the distillation-takes place. The flavouring is used for food products or low-alcohol malted beers.
