<p>Monocarbamates opt. N-alkyl or N-aryl-substd., monoalkylcarbonates, monoarylcarbonates, cyclic carbonates, monohaloformates, monoesters of carboxylic acids, monohaloformate-(monoesters of carboxylic acid), monoalkylcarbonate-(monoesters of carboxylic acids), monoarylcarbonates-(mono-ester of carboxylic acids) of a glycol of formula: where A is opt. substd, or condensed to form a cyclic naphthalene or methylenedioxybenzene ring; R' and R2 are alkyl, (total C2-C7); Ring A is preferably where R3, R4, R5 = H, halogen, alkyl (C1-C5), OH, alkoxy (C1-C5); or R5 = H and R3 + R4 form a methylenedioxy or condensed benzene ring. The monocarbamates and N-substd. monocarbamates are sedatives, hypnotics and/or tranquillisers and/or narcotic agents. The remainder are intermediates.</p> |
