Optoelectronic sensor for the detection of objects and the corresponding method

The sensor (10) has a light transmitter (12) for transmitting light signal (16) modulated with a code sequence e.g. Pseudo random sequence, and a light receiver (26) integrated into a complementary metal oxide semiconductor for receiving the light signal. The light receiver has a set of pixels for generating an individual receiving signal from the received light signal. An evaluation unit (28) correlates the individual receiving signal with the code sequence and meets another set of pixels whose individual receiving signals are provided for detecting an object (20). An independent claim is also included for a method for detecting objects.
