<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear oil composition having an excellent power saving property and low-temperature fluidity and also a good extreme-pressure property in a machine operated by high load. <P>SOLUTION: The gear oil composition is obtained by blending an olefin-based viscosity index-improving agent including a copolymer of ethylene and a monomer other than ethylene and an extreme pressure agent containing sulfur with a hydrocarbon-based base oil (excluding a poly-α-olefin based oil) for a lubricating oil having %CN of≤18 and %CA of≤1.0 by a ring analysis, the blending amount of the extreme pressure agent containing sulfur being 0.1-10 mass% based on the total amount of the composition, and a kinematic viscosity of the composition at 40°C being 50-380 mm<SP>2</SP><SB>/s</SB>and a density at 15°C being 0.825-0.846 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
