PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a die cushion device capable of regenerating energy by transmitting impact force acting on an output piston to a control piston through liquid pressure generated in sealed liquid and of suppressing the residual vibration of the liquid caused by the change in volume of the liquid pressure even when cushion force needs to be changed in a short time, and also to provide a method used for the same. SOLUTION: The control device of the die cushion device includes a jerk constant controller 26, allows the cushion force to be linearly changed at an integer multiple of the natural period of the liquid, and suppresses the residual vibration of the liquid at the changing time of the cushion force.
