A device 16 for blocking a vehicle (10, Figure 1), a method making use of such a device 16and a loading- unloading station (4, Figure 1) provided therewith. The device 16 comprises6 a guide track 20 disposed along a driveway, a blocking means 46, 48 for blocking a wheel W of the vehicle (10) and height-adjusting means 22 for height adjustment of the guide track 20 and/or the blocking 46, 48 means during use. The device 16 preferably comprises an anti-roll mode, wherein the blocking means 46, 48 engages at a first height, and a locking mode wherein the blocking means 46, 48 engages at a second, greater height. A detector may be provided to detect a required engaging height of the blocking means 46, 48 and the blocking means 46, 48 may be on a displaceable carriage guided along the track 20. |
