Adamantyl thiadiazole derivs. I, and acid addn. salts R=H, hal, trihalomethyl, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, Ph, NH2, lower alkanoylamino, mono- or di-lower alkylamino B=Basic N-contng. radical NR1R2, where R1 and R2=H, opt. substd. adamantyl, lower alkyl opt. substd. by OH, Ph,N-(lower alkyl)phenyl; cyclo-lower alkyl, alkanoyl; or NR1R2 may be a 5-7 membered monocyclic heterocyclic ring opt. contng. additional heteroatoms, and opt. substd. by e.g. alkyl Preferred cpds. have R=H and B=NMe2. I are topical fungal disinfectants against e.g. Aspergillus niger, Chaetomium globosum. I are applied, as a 1% cream or ointment, 2-4 times daily.
