<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection joint of a pipe for cryogenic fluid, which easily connects pipes without gas purge or heating before and after transfer work, and suppresses the leakage of gas to outside. <P>SOLUTION: In a pair of joints 2, 4 of insulation double pipe structure, an opening/closing mechanism 8 is disposed to the end of an outer pipe 6 of one joint, and the valve open operation part 11 of a self-sealing type cutoff valve 10 installed to the other joint is positioned at a portion retreated from the end. An insertion part of the other joint can be inserted and fitted into the inner pipe 5 of the one joint, the outer periphery of an inserting/fitting part 14 is covered with an expandable coat tube 15, and the inner peripheral face of a connecting tool 17 installed to a tip can be relatively slid with the outer peripheral face of the one joint through a seal. The outer face of part close to the tip of the connecting tool is fitted to be airtight to an opening formed in the box part 23 of the opening/closing mechanism, a gas return pipe to which a relief valve is disposed is installed between the base end of the coat tube and a connection part to the other pipe, and leaked gas is returned into the inner pipe of the other connection joint by the gas return pipe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
