摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an all-optical regenerative amplifier which is used for an all-optical system and can provide 3R regeneration. <P>SOLUTION: The all-optical regenerative amplifier receives optical signals of a plurality of channels which have been subjected to wavelength division multiplexing, and makes relative phases of the received optical signals of the respective channels be matched with one another and makes the polarization states of the received optical signals of the respective channels be matched with one another. The all-optical regenerative amplifier extracts a clock signal from one of the optical signals of the respective channels having the phases and polarization states matched, combines the extracted clock signal with the optical signals of the respective channels, and subjects the composite optical signal to optical parametric amplification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
