<p>A method for handling direct and indirect information in relation to a specific product has the following method steps: the goods or the outer packaging for said goods is provided with a machine-readable code which individualizes the goods, the code is read and, together with product-specific information (primary information), is supplied to a preferably central database, the code stored in the database can have further arbitrary information (secondary information) associated with it, and the code can be read on the product or on the outer packaging using suitable readers and can be transmitted to the database for the purpose of a query possibly together with information relating to user level, device or location, after which the database responds with the primary information and possibly the secondary information or a combination of the primary information and the secondary information and possibly further internally generated supplementary information.</p> |
