The projectile has an annular abutment (13) centered with respect to a longitudinal axis (10). The abutment is in contact with a front edge (14) of a composite body (4) for transmitting axial compression to the body. A longitudinal projection (15) is extended from the abutment. The projection comprises a contact face (16), where the projection has shape and diameter adapted to the body so as to allow the contact face of the projection to have a lateral contact with a peripheral surface (17) of the body. A metal joining element connects a metallic nose section to the body.
