<p>The pref. metal foot has a pref. curved yarn heating surface over which is flexible metal band is stretched in conductive contact with the surface. Pref. the foot has two curved heating surfaces and the band may be formed as an endless belt which is tightened around the two surfaces. The foot is pref. heated by a fluid. The wear caused by heating e.g. synthetic yarns is taken by the band which can be easily and economically replaced.</p> |
