1311480 Hydrazodicarbonamide; azodicarbonamide FISONS Ltd 9 Nov 1970 [27 Nov 1969] 58062/69 Heading C2C Hydrazodicarbonamide is prepared by reacting urea and a hydrazine salt in an aqueous acid medium while distilling off water for at least part of the reaction time, the molar ratio of urea to hydrazine salt being at least 2 : 1. The hydrazodicarbonamide is obtained as a precipitate, and may be oxidized to azodicarbonamide, e.g. using an alkali metal chlorate. |
