1,209,682. Securing windings in dynamoelectric machines. K. RETCH, [trading as KARL M. REICH MASCHINENFABRIK]. 24 Jan., 1968 [26 Jan., 1967], No. 3686/68. Heading H2A. An insulating field-coil support 4, 5 consists of an annular part 6 corresponding to the profile of the stack and having inwardly projecting coil-space lining surfaces 14, 15 and outwardly projecting curved walls 9, 10 for preventing the coil-ends 1, 2 from falling in towards the rotor. The two elements 4 and 5 are identical, and their profile differs from that of the stack only in having extended pole-tips 8. A slot 9<SP>1</SP> serves for the attachment of a winding jig, and recesses (11, 12, Fig. 3, not shown) in the surface facing the stack receive soldered connections and lamination-fastening means. The coilspace liners 14, 15 are beaded at 22 for strength, while the liners are reduced at their extremities (Fig. 5, not shown) so that they may overlap without producing a bulge. In an alternative arrangement (Figs. 6-8, not shown) each element has a single coil-space liner extending through the whole stack-length. |
