A star-quad cable for transmitting electrical signals with at least two pairs of electrical conductors, wherein each conductor has an electrically conductive core and a conductor sheath of an electrically insulating material which surrounds the core radially, the conductors being arranged at the corners of a square in a cross section of the star-quad cable, wherein the conductors of a pair are arranged at diagonally opposite corners of the square, and in each case the four conductors are twisted with one another in accordance with a star-quad arrangement with a predetermined stranding factor, wherein an electrically conducive shield surrounds the two pairs of conductors radially on the outside.
