A current balancing circuit for driving multi-lamp is provided to improve brightness uniformity of a plurality of discharge lamps and drive the plurality of the discharge lamps in parallel. A current balancing circuit includes a plurality of transformers(20) to drive a plurality of discharge lamps(31,34) in parallel while performing the current balance. The primary windings(21) of the plurality of transformers are connected between a power input terminal(5) and a ground in series and divide the voltage between the power input terminal and the ground into the plural uniform voltages. The secondary windings(22) include a ground intermediate tap(23), output a positive voltage to one end and a negative voltage to other end, and drive the plurality of discharge lamps in parallel. |
