A rotary engine according to the present invention is configured such that a plurality of rotary units is driven as having a set phase difference, thereby continuously generating outputs like a gas turbine or a jet engine. Also, a compact size is possible in comparison to an output, thereby facilitating application to an engine of an aircraft or the like. In addition, by supplying combustion gas discharged from a rotary unit of a front end to a rotary unit of a rear end without discharging the combustion gas to the outside, pressure energy of the combustion gas is not wasted and converted into rotational energy such that efficiency is improved. Furthermore, in case of the gas turbine or the jet engine, pressure energy of combustion gas is converted into kinetic energy and then converted into rotational energy again. But, the rotary engine directly converts all of the pressure energy of the combustion gas into the rotational energy, thereby reducing loss in a conversion process. |
