The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for transmitting non-I/Q data through a common public radio interface, belonging to the field of communication technologies. The apparatus in the embodiments of the present invention includes an encapsulation module and a transmission module. The method includes: when the common public radio interface is located before a downlink modulation or after an uplink demodulation, adding a packet header to data transmitted on the common public radio interface and then encapsulating the data into an information packet, where the packet header at least includes one or more than one of the following fields: a destination address field, a source address field, a packet type field, a packet start/end flag field, a data length field, and a serial number field; mapping the information packet to one or more than one information packet container; bearing the information packet container in a super frame; and transmitting the super frame through the common public radio interface. The embodiments of the present invention can implement bearing of non-I/Q data in a common public radio interface frame and transmission of the non-I/Q data through a radio interface. |
