<p>The softener is incorporated by polymerising the monomer mixture in the presence of 20%, pref. 8 - 18%, of DMF for >1 hour, with addition of chain-regulators such as mercaptans. The composition is melt-spun through an extruder. Homogeneous, plasticised polymers, which can easily be extruded, are obtained. Relatively low concentrations of DMF are used. Solvent-recovery is avoided. Profiled polyacrylonitrile fibres can be produceD.</p> |
