The method involves receiving (S0) a switch command in a subscriber identity module (SIM) from a terminal, which is associated to the SIM. The SIM is monitored (S9) on update of a specific file in the SIM. The updation is carried out by the terminal after receiving the command. Subscriber identity data is switched (S10) to another subscriber identity data as soon as the updation of the specific file is detected. The switching command is automatedly initiated on a user side and a network side. A request is processed by the terminal.
