The present invention relates to a lidless marking pen used on an industrial production line. A general oil-based pen is currently used as a marking pen used for the purpose of the inspection in the production line or the confirmation of processes. However, an oil ink on a surface of the pen is solidified several seconds after the lid is opened, causing defective marking. The present invention relates to a pen capable of substituting for the general oil-based pen, which is conventionally used for an automated marking machine, to enable marking for a long period of time, by forming a novel structure of the marking pen. According to the present invention, when a force is applied to a spring (2) by the press force of the marking machine, a marking tip (8) automatically rotates and thus an ink is coated on a surface of a product. When the force is lost, the marking tip (8) returns to its original position by the elasticity of the spring and then closes an inlet of an ink pad container (6), thereby preventing the dryness of the ink. A special ink is used depending on metal, plastic, fiber, and the like. The marking pen of the present invention can be used where a high-priced apparatus such as laser marking or inkjet marking is not needed.
