The method involves determining a rolling resistance based on traction resistance values. A mean value is formed from the traction resistance values over a distance traveled based on defined travel track intervals. The rolling resistance is computed based on the mean value. A traction resistance value is determined based on a vehicle speed pulse for each defined route interval of a route, where the mean value is determined as an arithmetical mean value. Fixed number of successive traction resistance values is determined. An independent claim is also included for a control device of a motor car. |
