The present invention relates to a ball valve comprising a seat retainer on which either a protrusion or a spiral surface is formed and which moves together with the seat; and a guide retainer which contacts the seat retainer and on which the other of the protrusion and the spiral surface is formed. Thus, the seat presses the spherical surface of the ball member or releases pressure on the spherical surface of the ball member by rotating the seat retainer relative to the guide retainer when adjusting the location of the seat for pressing the spherical surface of the ball member rotatably installed in a chamber of a valve body. Thus, a maintenance and replacement process for the ball member that opens/closes a flow is enabled without disassembling connection pipes at both sides of the ball valve, thereby allowing for ease of inspection of the ball member of the ball valve, such as maintenance thereof. |
