MICROFIBER FOR GAS SENSING

Provided is a microfiber for a gas sensor which includes: a core having liquid crystal portion; a macromolecular sheath which surrounds the core, and which is in contact with gas molecules in order for the gas molecules to be dispersed into the liquid crystal portion. The phase of the liquid crystal changes so as to decrease scattering of light by the change in alignment structure triggered by an infiltration of the gas molecules.
