摘要 A light emitting diode and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent diffusion flow of electric current by diversifying a path of the electric current using plural unit cells. A first conductive semiconductor layer, an active semiconductor layer, a second conductive semiconductor layer and a transparent electrode layer are formed on a substrate. Plural unit cells(20) are defined by pattern grooves(21) from the transparent electrode layer to the first conductive semiconductor layer. A first electrode pad(30) is formed on an exposed region of the first conductive semiconductor layer, and a second electrode pad(40) is formed on the transparent electrode layer. A first interconnection(32) is formed on the first conductive semiconductor layer, and a second interconnection(42) is formed on the transparent electrode layer.
