PURPOSE: A signal conversion apparatus and a method thereof are provided to implement efficient communication by displaying numerical values which are actually transmitted. CONSTITUTION: An operation unit (110) operates a cycle of a square wave signal cycle on a percentage basis. A protocol conversion unit (120) changes a percentage value into a transmission protocol. A control signal input and output unit outputs the transmission protocol to an external control unit. Display units (140, 141) display a channel number to which the square wave signal is input, and the percentage value corresponding to the channel number. A user command input unit (150) is inputted with the channel number to be displayed from a user, or selects one between percentage values corresponding to the channel number as an object to be displayed. Signal conversion units (100, 101) are inputted with at least one square wave signal, and the cycle of the square wave signal reflects the rotation speed of a motor.
