The present invention relates to a transparent card reader installed in an inner surface of a glass door, a glass window or a glass wall of a security area which includes: a communication part for communicating with a main control unit warning an abnormal state about the security area; a transparent coil antenna for reading an RFID signal through non-contact communication with an RFID card; an RFID chip for outputting the read RFID signal as a digital data signal; and an operation control part for transmitting the digital data signal and card reader identification information to the main control unit by controlling the communication part if the digital data signal is received from the RFID chip.
