An electrophoresis display device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce size of a memory by generating data using a logical circuit or a look-up table having a small memory. An electrophoresis display device includes data and gate lines(D1-Dm,G1-G2n), data and gate drivers(22,23), plural electrophoresis elements, and a diode. The gate lines cross the data lines. The data driver converts digital data into data voltages and supplies the converted data voltages to the data lines. The gate driver supplies scan pulses based on gate line pairs having odd and even number gate lines, and synchronizes first polarity scan pulses supplied to the odd number gate lines and second polarity scan pulses supplied to the even number gate lines with the data voltages. The electrophoresis elements are implemented between pixel electrodes for receiving the data voltages and scan electrodes for receiving a voltage between first and second polarity scan pulse voltages. The diode supplies the voltage between first and second polarity scan pulse voltages to the scan electrodes. |
