The present invention provides a dust collecting apparatus and an electric cleaner equipped with the same, capable of discarding simultaneously with separately collecting dust separated by a first centrifugal separation unit and dust separated by a second centrifugal separation unit, and of suppressing flying up of dust separated by the second centrifugal separation unit upon discarding. A dust collecting apparatus (27) is provided with a wall unit (161) protruding from a separator (86) and adhering to a case unit (85) in a condition of mounting the separator (86) on the case unit (85). The dust collecting apparatus (27) is equipped with a dust reservoir (165) to collect dust separated by the second centrifugal separation unit (93). By the wall unit (161) adhering to the case unit (85),the dust reservoir (165) is compartmentalized between the case unit (85) and the wall unit (161).
