The ice fishing assembly includes a rod, a reel and a jigging arm which causes the line wound around the reel to jig. The inner end of the rod is accommodated in a socket which is biased upward by a contact of an electrical switch. When the weight of a fish at the end of the line exceeds the upward bias of the contact, the socket pivots downward and the switch closes with resulting activation of a buzzer or a signal light A built-in handle is provided for lifting the entire assembly so that it can be picket up with one hand and operated at a height most convenient for reeling in a fish with the other hand. |
