The present invention ensures run flat durability and inhibits an increase in rolling resistance and lengthwise elasticity. The run flat tire (1) has 50 to 60% of flattening. A side reinforcing rubber layer (10) extends from a bead base line (BL) further than a buttress position (H2) 0.72 times as high as the height of a tire cross section (H0) inward in the radial direction of a tire, and extends from the bead base line (BL) further than a first bead position (H4) 0.22 times as high as the height of the tire cross section (H0) outward in the radial direction of the tire. The side reinforcing rubber layer (10) is composed of a rubber composition having a complex modulus (E*) of 6 to 12 MPa. The thickness of the side reinforcing rubber layer (10) at a position in the vicinity of the total tire width (H1), the buttress position (H2), the first bead position (H4) and a second bead position (H5) and the thickness of a side wall rubber (3G) at the first bead position (H4) and the second bead position (H5) are regulated within a specific range using the complex modulus and rod index of the side reinforcing rubber layer. |
