PURPOSE: A software component search system and method based on power consumption are provided to offer information about the characteristics of power consumption in selecting reusable components, thereby implementing the analysis of efficiency for the functional characteristic identification and power consumption of the component. CONSTITUTION: A component library (200) stores software components. A component registration unit (100) registers and stores software component information including power consumption in a component library. A component search unit (300) searches components stored in the component library. The component registration unit receives information about the facet of a component to register and store, receives information about the component, receives interface information for use of the component, and receives environmental information for use of the component to register and store the component.
