<p>The device (3) has an elongated cross-piece (4) mounted on a chassis of a vehicle. An anchoring unit defining an anchoring axis (B) is mounted on the cross-piece. The cross-piece comprises a cross section including a portion and two side portions, where each side portion extends from an end of the portion. The two side portions are arranged opposite to one another. The anchoring unit is arranged inside the cross-piece between the side portions, so that the anchoring axis of the anchoring unit passes through a longitudinal axis (A) of the cross-piece.
