The present invention relates to a device and a method for measuring water pollution and more specifically, to a water pollution measuring device which measures the condition of water quality which is contained in the water tank and illuminates the each different color inside the water tank through a light emitting diode module according to the measured water quality. Through the device and the method for measuring water pollution of the present invention, the user is capable of easily recognizing the water quality and condition of water contamination of the water which is contained in the water tank visually from long distance by having a illumination of lights with each different color which is outputted from the light emitting diode module according to the measured water quality after measuring the water quality which is contained in the water tank with the water quality measuring module.
