PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable dyeing dye liquid for ink jet applications which can be stably spewed, a mordant liquid, a dyeing method using an ink jet method for spewing either, and a method for manufacturing a vegetable-dyed object using the ink jet method for spewing either.SOLUTION: One dye liquid of the present invention for ink jet applications includes water as a main solvent, an alcohol as a drying speed adjuster, and dye molecules extracted from a natural product. The surface tension and viscosity of this dye liquid, furthermore, are respectively 20 mN/m or above and 75 mN/m or below and 0.5 mPa s or above and 40 mPa s or below.
