PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning material which is adapted to be internally packed in a three-dimensional knitted article, which is easily worked to have a desired softness at a desired thickness, which can prevent the fuzzes of a connecting thread in the periphery (or the cutting face) of the cushioning material and the surface and back knitted fabric and the fabrication can be easily and inexpensively made.SOLUTION: A bag-shaped cushioning material 10 is formed of a three-dimensional stereoscopic knitting 30 constituted of base knitting yarns 32 and 34 of a synthetic resin for front and back fabrics knitted into a net structure, and connecting yarns 36 made of a synthetic resin for connecting the yarns 32 and 34. The cushioning material 10 is formed: by folding a rectangular sheet material formed by cutting the three-dimensional stereoscopic knitting 30, into halves: by jointing the two sides (at 14 and 14) to leave one side OP open; by extracting the entirety from the open side OP and folding it back; by folding back the individual end edges of the surface knitting yarn 32 and the back knitting yarn 34 inward; and by jointing the folded-back open side OP into the bag shape. |
