PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of improving cooling efficiency of respective electrodes of a brush device with simple constitution.SOLUTION: Electrodes 5a, 5b, and 5c of a brush device 5 have annular springs 6a, 6b, and 6c which area fixed to a rotary shaft 4 and can rotate together with the rotary shaft 4, brushes 7a, 7b, and 7c which are provided in contact with the spring rings 6a, 6b, and 6c respectively. and annular brush fixation parts 8a, 8b, and 8c to which the brushes 7a, 7b, and 7c are fixed respectively. The brush fixation parts 8a, 8b, and 8c have circular holes 10a, 10b, and 10c into which the rotary shaft 4 is inserted respectively, and gaps 11a, 11b, and 11c are formed between the rotary shaft 4 and brush fixation parts 8a, 8b, and 8c respectively. The gaps 11a, 11b, and 11c decrease in area in this order. |
