PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance moisture detector with a simple structure, which can detect frost formation with sufficient accuracy without providing a dummy electrode.SOLUTION: The capacitance moisture detector which detects a change in capacitance according to the ratio or the condition of moisture in an ambient environment, comprises: a first electrode and a second electrode arranged so as to face each other; a capacitance sensor in which capacitance changes according to the ratio or the condition of moisture between the first electrode and the second electrode; a drive unit applying an AC signal to the capacitance sensor; and a determination unit performing binarization in accordance with the magnitude of output voltage from the capacitance sensor and outputting an on or off detection signal. The capacitance sensor is, for example, connected between the output of the drive unit and the input of the determination unit. The determination unit performs binarization by comparing the magnitude of the output voltage from the capacitance sensor and a preset threshold. |
