A supplementary vehicle spring assembly for a leaf spring of a vehicle is provided, the leaf spring defining a fixed end and a free end, the supplementary vehicle spring assembly comprising a first tension spring arrangement fitted to the fixed end of the leaf spring. The first tension spring arrangement comprises a bracket arrangement fitted to the leaf spring between the fixed end and an axle of the vehicle, with a first tension spring extending between the bracket arrangement and the fixed end and a second tension spring extending between the bracket arrangement and a fixing arrangement proximate the axle of the vehicle. In an embodiment, a first connector rod extends from a first end of the first tension spring, the first connector rod being adjustably fitted to a shackle that in turn movably accommodates a scrolled end of the leaf spring that defines the fixed end.
