A medical device is described which has proximal and distal ends and an axis there between. The medical device comprises an outer tubular fabric and an inner tubular fabric, wherein each fabric comprises braided 10 metal strands, having an expanded preset configuration and proximal and distal ends. The expanded preset configuration of the inner fabric is longer in length than the expanded preset shape of the outer fabric along the device axis, the outer fabric surround at least a portion 15 of the length of the inner fabric and the distal ends of the inner and outer fabric metal strands are secured together. The medical device is shaped to create an occlusion, wherein the device is collapsible for delivery through a channel in a patients body, the inner and outer 20 fabric having a memory property such that the device tends to return to said preset expanded configuration when unconstrained.
