PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic latent image development, which is excellent in fixability and heat-resistant storage property and can suppress occurrence of an image failure in a formed image due to adhesion of the toner to a developing sleeve or an image failure in a formed image such as a void or toner scattering near a printed character.SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic latent image development comprises toner core particles containing at least a binder resin and a shell layer covering the whole surface of each toner core particle, in which an average circularity Dto Din each specified particle diameter range is controlled to 0.960 or more and a difference (D-D) between the maximum Dand the minimum Din Dto Dis controlled to 0.015 or less. The shell layer is smoothed to a predetermined degree; and when a cross section of the shell layer is observed by using a transmission electron microscope, a crack in a direction substantially perpendicular to the surface of the toner core particle is observed in the shell layer. |
