<p>Portable illumination devices (e.g., flashlights, headlamps, mobile devices with lights, watches, etc.), assemblies and methods of use are described herein. In various embodiments, a portable illumination device may include a housing, a light source, a Hall Effect sensor, a magnet that is movable relative to the Hall Effect sensor and provides a magnetic field, and a logic contained within the housing. In various embodiments, the logic may be operably coupled to the light source and the Hall Effect sensor. In various embodiments, the logic may be configured to alter a quantity of light emitted by the light source based on data, provided by the Hall Effect sensor, indicative of a spatial relationship between the magnet and the Hall Effect sensor.</p> |
