A computer-implemented collaborative environment using distributed touch sensitive surfaces (TSS) consists of a network of TSSs that can share synchronously input and output information through a virtual device that emulates the TSS functionalities. The TSSs can be touch screens, interactive whiteboards, touchscreen mobile devices, or other touch screen client devices which are interconnected through a server which hosts a virtual touch sensitive surface (VTSS). The VTSS can be logically structured as matrix of pages, and each page can be accessed in a synchronous way by a plurality of users through their physical TSSs using managed page accessibility. Each physical TSS is mapped on a page of the VTSS, and the results of each action of any of the users is displayed on the surface of all the TSSs in the group. The synchronized interactions and their display results can be saved for future use.
|
