PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for simply producing a plant imparted with stress tolerance.SOLUTION: A method for producing a plant with stress tolerance comprises the step of inhibiting, in a plant, a function of a polypeptide including a specific amino acid sequence. This enables developing a new technique capable of producing a plant with stress tolerance such as salt tolerance and high osmotic pressure tolerance.
