PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel sensor manufacturing method capable of forming a protective layer of an extraction conductor made of a metal material without providing a step dedicated for the formation, and a touch panel sensor manufactured by applying the method.SOLUTION: A touch panel sensor manufacturing method includes: an etching step of patterning a coated conductive layer and a transparent conductive layer with a photosensitive layer as an etching mask, the photosensitive layer formed on a coated conductive layer surface of a laminate obtained by laminating a transparent base film, the transparent conductive layer and the coated conductive layer in this order and then patterned; a second etching step of etching the coated conductive layer at an active area portion with the photosensitive layer as an etching mask, the photosensitive layer further patterned so that an extraction conductor portion remains and the active area portion is removed; and a flow coating step of coating at least the extraction conductor portion by heating the photosensitive layer to soften it and flowing the softened photosensitive layer. |
