A method and device for bidirectional forwarding detection under the condition of parameter update. The method comprises: a first router and a second router establishing a link; the first router modifying a packet sending parameter and/or a packet receiving parameter, and sending to the second router a message with the modification identifier of this time; after receiving the message with the modification identifier of this time which is sent by the first router, the second router returning to the first router a feedback message with the modification identifier of this time; and after the first router receives the feedback message with the modification identifier of this time which is sent by the second router, the modified packet sending parameter and/or packet receiving parameter taking effect. |
