The plug connector (2) has a flat portion (4) in which a clutch is accommodated. The clutch is movably arranged in the longitudinal direction relative to a clamping portion. The clamping portion is arranged in an initial position and outside portion of the flat portion is received in a receiving portion of the clutch, before the insertion of flat portion into the clutch. The clamping portion is arranged in working position and clamping element is overlapped with the receiving portion, when flat portion is inserted into the clutch. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing plug connector.
