PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional TOF (Time of Flight) pulse neutron detector capable of: measuring neutron energy spectrum used for BNCT (Boron Neutron Capture Therapy), quantity of radiation, two-dimensional incident position of a neutron, and a transmission image, in real time; and displaying a measurement result on the transmission image.SOLUTION: A two-dimensional TOF pulse neutron detector includes: a GEM (Gas Electron Multiplier) detector stored in a chamber filled up with ionization gas; a two-dimensional TOF-reading integrated circuit; and an image arithmetic processor. |
